OLUDENİZ BEACH

Oludeniz is a part of Fethiye district of Muğla province. Oludeniz was voted the most beautiful beach in the world in 2006 by eighty-two percent of the beach. The town has developed considerably in terms of tourism. Lycia is known as the "Far Realm" in the Middle Ages, located on the Teke Peninsula, southwest of Anatolia. It is one of the sea ear (lagoon) occurrences in Turkey.

Oludeniz is a character name like stagnant lake. In the most stormy days Belceğiz shrieks with ripples, only the rattles in Oludeniz come to the water. However, Oludeniz, which seems stagnant, renews itself almost every day for three reasons which are not visible. These are the intensive spring water exits in Ölüdeniz, creating a flow from inside to the open. Secondly, due to the saltiness created by these spring waters, there is a continuous circulation in and out of the open sea.
The third, with a tidal effect, increases and decreases by half a meter on average every two to three days. This also provides a large amount of sea water in and out.
The name of the island is also based on a legend. In the olden days, the ships passing by from these places were out in the open, and they took the boat to the shore to buy drinking water. One day, the young, handsome son of an old captain sees the beautiful Belcekiz when he comes out to get water. He does not see sight, but he shoots.
Fire falls on her heart. But the young man has to take the water and return. The ship goes away. Belcekiz is always on the coast, loving his arms. The young man also comes to take water every time he passes the gardens. So they negotiate, they make love. One day the storm bursts as the ship passes by. The young man tells his father that it is a sheltered, pool-like bay.
The old wolf knows his son's voluntary adventure. He thinks his son has been tearing the ship for the sake of seeing his lover. The fight grows with the waves between father and son. While the ship will strike the rocks full, the captain throws his son into the sea with a shovel, and the sniper sticks to see the situation. The sea turns and enters a koya like sheet. The boy dies there. Belcekiz, waiting for you to love him on the rocks, will also throw himself away from the rocks and die.
This is the day that day when the girl died Belcekız, the son where the dead died is called Ölüdeniz. According to the progress of the day, the sea changing color and perhaps burning a boy to a boy.
The land can be reached by land, sea and air.
Regular bus services are being provided from Fethiye to centers such as Antalya, Izmir, Ankara and Istanbul. Dalaman airport is also an hour away from the city. Fethiye is 12 km from Ölüdeniz. There are regular transportation facilities from Fethiye to the city.

There is also a possibility to fly with "Yamaç Parachute" from Babadağ altitude of 2000 meters altogether with safari, mountaineering, hiking and rafting facilities where all kinds of sea sports can be done. 90% of those who come to Oludeniz paragliding does not go without going absolutely recommend to fly.
